1. Who can participate in the CancunTravel.com Affiliate Program?
  • Web Site Owners, Travel Agencies, and Travel Industry Employees can all participate in the Affiliate Program.
  • Your application will automatically be accepted however, we reserve the right to reject your application and/or participation if we determine that your business or site is unsuitable for the Program for any reason.
  • Unsuitable businesses or sites include, but are not limited, to those that: Promote sexually explicit materials, Promote violence, Promote discrimination, Promote illegal activities, Otherwise violate intellectual property rights.
2. How do I get started as a CancunTravel.com Affiliate?
  • Read the Membership Agreement for the CancunTravel.com Affiliate Program.
  • Sign up by filling out the Affiliate Registration form. Your Affiliate ID will be automatically generated and your application will be entered into our system immediately.
  • For Web Site and Travel Agency Affiliates, you can begin selling CancunTravel.com services immediately. In the case of Travel Industry Employees, make your discounted online reservations immediately following your approval and employment verification.
3. As a Travel Industry Employee, how do I verify my qualification for the Program?

After completing your application and receiving your Affiliate ID, you only need to photocopy your Company ID onto a company letterhead and fax this to our office. After approval (please allow 24 hours) your membership will be activated and you can begin taking advantage of your Affiliate discounts.
Note: This only applies to Travel Industry Employee Affiliates and does not apply to Web Site or Travel Agency Affiliates.

4. Does it cost anything to become a CancunTravel.com Affiliate?

No, there are no fees or charges of any kind when becoming a CancunTravel.com Affiliate.

5. Can I participate if my business is outside of Mexico?

Yes, anyone who has their own web site, travel agency, or is a travel industry employee can participate in the CancunTravel.com Affiliate Program regardless of their location. Please note that commissions paid outside of Mexico will be by bank transfer converted to the local currency; commissions paid inside Mexico will be Mexican Pesos at the current rate of exchange.

6. I am a Web Site Affiliate but I don't know how to write HTML. Will CancunTravel.com help me?

Even though we cannot help build your web site or help you to learn HTML, we have provided three means of linking with us and complete linking instructions to seemlessly, and anonymously, connect your site to ours. In our
Web Site Integration page you will find more information about integrating your Affiliate link(s). If you are still having difficulty with integration, you can e-mail us at affiliates@cancuntravel.com and we will help answer any additional questions you may have.

7. Can I write my own page(s) for promoting CancunTravel.com services and link only to the reservations form?

No. The various services offered by CancunTravel.com integrate the description of the services offered with the reservations form and cannot be separated. However, with the exception of affiliates who choose banner linking, you will find that our site and service offerings will integrate with yours in a seemless and anonymous manner, giving your clients the confidence to know that they are still working with you. By default, the program uses a generic color scheme to go with any site and you will never see our logo on any of your pages.

8. As a Travel Agency Affiliate, where do I log in so I can begin making reservations for my clients?

Travel Agency Affiliates
log in here through our Program Links page. After logging in you will be taken the general site where you can then navigate normally and make reservations for your clients. Your Affiliate ID is logged and all reservations are credited to your Affiliate Account. You will receive complete details in your Welcome Letter via e-mail after enrolling in the Program.

9. Who provides customer service to my clients for their reservations?

We provide complete customer care to the extent that you desire. All reservation confirmations received by the client from us include our customer service e-mail address should they have questions, need modifications, or desire a cancellation of their reservation. In addition, you may refer client questions that you receive to us at,
customerservice@cancuntravel.com when desired, and we will be happy to help in any way we can. Finally, we use an online chat service during normal business hours where you can communicate with us directly to answer questions should you wish to handle client inquiries yourself.

Client Direct Customer Service Links: Also, as an assistance in helping you build the confidence and trust required with your prospective online clients, we have put together a Reservations Assistance page that provides information regarding credit card charges, reservation policies and cancellation policies. Additionally, you will find links on this page, similar to those above, that your clients can use to check the status of their reservation, modify their reservation, or make a cancellation if desired.

10. How does CancunTravel.com track my reservations to make sure I am properly credited for sales?

An Affiliate ID is assigned when you sign up through our Affiliate Registration form. In the case of a Travel Agency Affiliate, you simply log in to the site and navigate normally to make your reservations. The Affiliate ID is then recorded into our database along with the reservation.

For Web Site Affiliates, the link to any of our pages from your site to the CancunTravel.com pages will carry your Affiliate ID. Your Affiliate ID stays with the user through the navigation of our pages and the reservation process. As the reservation is processed, your Affiliate ID is picked up and stored on our database along with the corresponding reservation.

11. Where can I find out about the reservations I have generated from CancunTravel.com and view the commissions I've earned?

The CancunTravel.com Affiliate Program has a complete reservations and commissions reporting system where you can view all of your sales by month or by year, view your commission report and check the status of your payments. By logging into the Affiliates Area with your Affiliate ID and Password you will have access to your Affilate reports.

12. How much do I earn from selling CancunTravel.com services?

CancunTravel.com pays a flat 8% commission per fulfilled reservation on all sales for any of our services, except Airline Reservations. Airlines no longer offer commissions, therefore, we do not have commissions that we can pass along to the Affiliate.

A fulfilled reservation is a reservation that has been paid in full and completed by the customer. If the customer does not show up for their reservation (no show) or cancels the reservation, we do not pay commissions.

13. How often and in what manner will I get paid?

CancunTravel.com pays commissions on a monthly basis with a minimum of $150.00 of commissions due. If your commissions for a month fall under this amount, it will be carried over to your next commission payment date. All commissions will be paid by the 20th day following the end of a commission month.

We pay commissions by bank transfer. Payment to Affiliates located within Mexico will be made in Mexican Pesos (Moneda Nacional) at the current rate of exchange and payment to Affiliates located outside of Mexico will be made in your local currency at the current rate of exchange. There is no fee for bank transfers to Affiliates located within Mexico; there is a $15.00 bank transfer fee for Affiliates located outside of Mexico. This fee covers a portion of the bank transfer costs, we absorb the additional costs; for reasons of security, bank transfers are the only method by which we make payments to Affiliates at this time.

14. Are there any sales quotas that need to be maintained in order to continue as a CancunTravel.com Affiliate?

We do not set sales quotas for our CancunTravel.com Affiliates. We wish you the best of luck in your business venture and CancunTravel.com will always be there to assist in any way we can without any pressure to meet performance or sales quotas.
