Due to its calm waves, it is ideal for children and aquatic activities like jet skiing, water skiing or sailing. The other beach zone is located on the eastern side of the hotel zone, facing open seas. For your safety, hotel beaches and marinas use colored warning flags according to tide stations in the area. Always check the flags before you enter the water.

You will also get to see rarities such as seahorses, barracudas, tiger and bull sharks.

Mayan Archaeological Sites

Cancun boasts various archaeological vestiges. There are even several archaeological sites right within Cancun's hotel zone. The most frequently visited Mayan archaeological sites (with the exception of Tikal in Guatemala) are all in Mexico, and can be reached by air, bus, or car from Cancun.

Ruinas El Rey is located in front of Playa Delfines. Any taxi or bus on Kukulcan Boulevard can easily take you there. The visit won't take you more than an hour. It is an ideal site to relax, learn more about Maya culture and witness the numerous iguanas that live in these ancient temples.

El Meco is at the north of Cancun, on the avenue leading to Punta Sam. From the top of one of its pyramids - the tallest archaeological structure in the north of the state - there is a breathtaking view of the Chacmochuc Lagoon, near the area known as Isla Blanca (the name is misleading since it is not an island). To get there, we suggest taking a taxi, since this site, recently open to the public, still does not receive many visitors.

Tulum
Come and visit Tulum, take a tour and take a visit to the only know walled Mayan city. Overlooking one of the most picturesque views, anywhere on this magnificent coast and then continue with a visit to Xel Ha, the world's largest natural aquarium.

Chichen Itza
Only two and a half hours away from Cancun is one of the most impressive of all Mayan sites. Chichen Itza is a marvelous archaeological zone, one of the most important ancient cities of Mayan Culture. As a religious, political and commercial metropolis Chichen Itza has the most amazing building as an example of architecture and art of Mayan civilization.

Golf & Tennis

Practically all of Cancun's hotels have perfectly designed tennis courts rigorously maintained under the high standards of the sport's rules. If you love golf, you will enjoy the courses in Cancun's hotel zone.
