Atmosphere: Moderate Airport distance: 117 km / 73 miles, one hour. How to get there: Exit the airport and just before you reach the overpass, you will see an exit ramp on the right going onto Highway 307 South to Playa del Carmen. Take that ramp and merge onto the highway. Continue on the highway going straight through all the lights at Playa del Carmen, following the signs for Tulum. After you pass the entrance to the archeological site at Tulum, turn to the left at the next traffic light onto Carretera Tulum-Bocapaila. Note: there is a large grocery store on your right, at this intersection. Follow this road until you reach a "Y" intersection. Bear right and continue to KM 3.8 where you should see the Blue Tulum Resort & Spa hotel.
